- Sophisticated technology
- The optimized 1/4" electrochemical (fuel cell) sensor of the hand-held device reacts specifically to alcohol, and features very short response times. Even with a very high alcohol content, the device ensures quick measurement results. The results are displayed on a backlit graphic display via text messages, with a corresponding color LED and an audible signal.
- Comfortable operation
- The measuring functions are easy to operate: The user controls all measurements with a simple pushbutton. Two additional keys enable quick and simple menu navigation. In addition, the user will have text messages shown on the display, supported by LEDs in different colors as well as accoustic signals. Sampling, menu operations and calibration are carried out automatically.
- Easy handling
- The instrument is no larger than a shirt pocket. Due to its special ergonomic shape, it can be operated by right-handed and left-handed persons.
- Graphic LCD
- The results are displayed on a backlit graphic LC display in various units of measure. Text messages are unabreviated and accompanied by corresponding color LEDs and audible signals. The instrument has four standard, selectable languages: English, German, French, Spanish. The integrated data storage can store up to ten test results. With the test numbering system, the user can select test results and display them on the graphic display.
- Safe and hygienic
- A special tab on the mouthpiece assures a safe distance between the operator's hand and the subject's mouth.
- Special Mouthpiece Design
- Even in dark conditions, the mouthpiece can be fitted quickly and easily. The air outlet on the mouthpiece cannot be closed off, thus elimating the possibility of manipulating the results. A distance piece ensures optimum hygiene as it prevents contact between the test person's lips and the housing.
- Low energy consumption
- The device is powered by 2 AA Alkaline batteries, sufficient for > 1500 tests at room temperature.

The Dräger Interlock XT is a breath alcohol measuring instrument that can prevent a vehicle from being started if the driver's breath alcohol concentration is higher than the preset limit. It can also be used with key cupboards and for building entry.
The Dräger DrugTest® 5000 System - Analyzer and Test kit - provide fast and accurate on-site drug detection. Substances such as opiates, cocaine, cannabinoides, amphetamines as well as designer drugs and tranquilizers based on benzodiazepines can be detected in oral fluid samples or samples from surfaces.
The Draeger SSK 5000 is used for sampling for drugs on or from surfaces. When used in combination with the Dräger DrugTest® 5000, the sample is transferred to a test cassette and screened for possible drug contamination from that surface. For further testing, the collected sample can be stored and transported.
Reliable preservation of evidence: Via the Dräger DCD5000, approximately 0.4 ml of oral fluid sample can be sampled, preserved and transported. The sampler shows a minimum volume variance. Thanks to reproducible recovery rates, semi quantitative conclusions can be drawn, concerning the concentration of the substance classes to be analyzed which were present in the sample at the moment of sampling.
